Hey everyone! I'm Amelia. I'm a 17 year old trans girl interested in computer science and linguistics. I plan to go to college for those things and I'm very excited. I'm happy to talk to you if we're interested in any of the same stuff, I should be pretty easy to reach!
About my interest in Computer Science! I've been programming for a really long time! I was a Roblox developer for quite a long time, although I've left that life behind now. I've been learning Unity a small bit recently, and although I'm indimidated, I'm also hopeful! I know 3 programming languages pretty well, those being Luau (from my Roblox days, of course), Python, And Java!
Java is probably my favorite of the languages I know so far, although C# is shaping up to be just as good in my opinion. I like it a lot.
About my interest in Linguistics! I've been doing linguistics related stuff for way less time than Comp sci stuff. But I think I might like it more than Comp sci! I've spent a lot of time learning Spanish, which I'm actually pretty good at now, and I've just started learning Japanese! (We'll see how that goes... (｡﹏｡"))
I'm hoping to major in linguistics when I go off to college! I'm thinking about potentially being a translator or even a linguistics teacher in the future. (But then I'd have to take teaching classes at college, wouldn't I...)
